About Me

I SPECIALISE IN: MOVING IMAGE, MOTION, AND GRAPHIC DESIGN.

I am a multidisciplinary creative with a strong focus on moving image and motion design, and a well-rounded skill set and appreciation across all facets of design. I’m quick to pick up technical software and thrive on problem-solving, always approaching projects with an ‘idea-first’ mindset. This flexibility allows me to work across a wide range of technologies and styles, choosing the tools that best serve the concept.

Experimentation is at the heart of my creative process. I believe the most impactful and transformative projects come from experimental, collaborative environments, and I’m always looking to expand my skills - most recently through learning creative coding. Particular design fascinations for me at the moment are information design, type animation and interactive/reactive design for audio.

My passion for sustainability and the environment informs both my work and personal life. Two of my university projects explored themes of nature, and I’m currently working my way through the South West Coastal Path, hiking in stages. When I’m not designing or walking, I’m usually at a gig with my camcorder, filming and editing moments into small documentaries of my life and the people in it.

Experience

Junior Designer - Daughter Studio (current)

At Daughter, I serve as a versatile creative, contributing across motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, and artworking. I’ve collaborated on projects for clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Transport & Environment, IHG Hotels and Resorts, and the University of Warwick. Recent highlights include animating and editing the Daughter brand film, along with creating all motion graphics for a major food company’s social campaign.

Motion/Graphic Design Freelancing

I had the opportunity to work on a  freelance basis assisting with the design and motion graphics for a financial advertising campaign in New York. This work involved liaising and meeting with my client and working solely within the After Effects Program, solving technical problems due to the challenges of the project.

University Volunteering and Service/Hospitality Work

I have been working ever since I was 14; from waitressing at a fast paced tapas restaurant, to picking stock in a warehouse, I even worked as a GCSE Maths tutor for 2 years. I believe my time in (as some people phrase it) ‘low skilled’ jobs was invaluable in forming my understanding of the world, hard work and what it means to be part of a team, any team.

I was also an active member of the design community at university, volunteering as a mentor to younger students and a representative of my year, advocating for improvements in our course.
