Here We Drink

Branding, Motion, Typography, Installation Design

Here We Drink won a D&AD Graphite Pencil and is an awareness campaign addressing the rampant sewage pollution in England. This project was shortlisted by Design Bridge and Partners for their 'Make a Move that Matters' award.

Beginning locally, an interactive installation of Ted Hughes' poem 'If' will activate the riverside village of Boston Spa to rise up against sewage pollution. Expanding on this momentum, a countrywide advertising and social media campaign will be launched, using Ted Hughes’ powerful words, the visual language of the installation, and regional sewage pollution data, to get the nation talking about this issue. Finally, Google's variable font technology will be used in the new variation of Cormorant, Cormorant Contaminated, letting individual citizens join the fight against sewage.

Kindle Demonstration

The proposed poem trail would use E-Ink screens instead of traditional LEDs because E-Ink is low-power, sustainable and can be seen in any all light conditions during the day. Below is a demonstration of how animation looks on an E-Ink screen, a kindle.
